Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs)
Building a sustainable future with confidence

At EMR, sustainability is more than a tick-box exercise; it’s built into everything we do. Our recycled metals already offer manufacturers, construction firms, and industrial customers a low-impact alternative to virgin materials. Now, our Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) provide the data to back this up.
Developed in line with global best practices and independently verified, our EPDs provide the information you need to make better choices. Whether you're driving down embodied product emissions, building more sustainable supply chains or preparing for the demands of tomorrow’s regulations – having verified and detailed data about your materials means you can move forward with confidence.
Why your future manufacturing should demand EPD-verified materials
Choosing EPD-backed materials helps you:
- Strengthen supply chain transparency
- Accelerate your own product EPDs
- Cut embodied carbon and Scope 3 emissions
- Stay ahead of changing regulations like CBAM
- Make every audit easier
- Boost bids and tenders with solid data

“Our customers already trust EMR to deliver high-quality, low-impact recycled materials. These EPDs give them the verified data they need to meet ambitious sustainability targets - and stay ahead of what’s next.”
— Guy Mercer, Director of Sustainability

FAQs
What is an EPD?
An Environmental Product Declaration (or EPD) provides an independently verified summary of the environmental impact of a product throughout its life-cycle, calculated via a life-cycle assessment (or LCA).
Who verifies your data?
Our EPDs are verified by qualified independent assessors (LCA Studio, working in partnership with consultancy, Metsims) approved by EPD International. Only approved verifiers can perform official EPD verifications.
How can this help with CBAM or ESG reporting?
With more detailed data and transparent metrics, our EPDs help customers meet current reporting standards and prepare for future regulation, including CBAM requirements from 2026.
What’s the benefit to my business?
Using EMR’s EPD-verified metals simplifies compliance, strengthens sustainability credentials and supports green procurement and tendering.
