Bootle Bucks Inclusion FC is an inclusive club offering football sessions to any children or young adults with a disability. EMR joined forces with the club in September 2018, becoming their first official sponsor.
The club was established in April 2018 and now has over 120 members attending training sessions each week. The team won the 2018 North West Football Award for Promoting Inclusion.
As the official sponsor, EMR has provided new tracksuits, rain jackets, beanie hats and funding for training equipment, as well as a football coach for their training sessions. We also sponsored the team’s first UK North West inclusive football tournament in September 2018.
Bootle Bucks Inclusion FC Chairman, John Rice said:
We are overwhelmed by EMR’s support. It has made a big difference to our club and enables us to support so many children and young adults with varying disabilities. We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone at EMR!
Grassroots football brings huge benefits to children in many ways and I’m delighted that EMR have been able to give support to ensure the team have kits and training gear. Everyone is over the moon with their new tracksuits and rain jackets.
Jeni Melia, mother of Aiden Melia, eight-year-old member of Bootle Bucks Inclusion FC, said:
The generosity shown by EMR in providing our children with their tracksuits, coats and hats is just astounding. Many of our children have never felt the inclusion that this act of kindness has helped create at Bootle Bucks Inclusion FC.
Every child is equal to the next and the sponsorship definitely helps to promote this. All dressed the same, fighting daily challenges the same.
Every parent, carer and grandparent thanks everyone at EMR from the bottom of their hearts for the friendship and understanding shown on every occasion we meet. Your support is fantastic and very much appreciated. We look forward to many years together. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
