Metal recycler announced as Bootle Music Festival sponsor

1 July 2019

Local metal recycler, EMR, which has two sites in Bootle, has been announced as sponsor of this years Bootle Music Festival.

The festival, which is organised by SAFE Regeneration, takes place on 6 and 7 July and brings together the local community through music, family activities, food and fun.

Last year was the first year of the festival and EMR was one of its main sponsors. After the festival’s success, SAFE Regeneration wanted to continue to celebrate all that is great about Bootle.

SAFE Regeneration’s Community Partnership Manager, Jane Elizabeth Dawe, said: “We are delighted to have EMR as one of our main sponsors again!

“It is only by working closely with everyone in our local community that we are able to bring everyone together for such an amazing event. This is Place Based Social Action at its best – working together to create a happy, healthy neighbourhood.”

EMR’s Area General Manager, Phil Hoare said: “We are proud to be sponsoring the Bootle Music Festival again. At EMR we put a great deal of importance on supporting the communities that are close to our sites – it is important to support events, such as this one, which bring these communities together. We are thrilled to be part of this years Festival.”

EMR, which has two sites based at Liverpool Alexandra Docks and Gladstone Dock, can recycle everything from a toaster to an aircraft carrier. The metal and plastic EMR processes saves over 10 million tonnes of CO2 compared to using virgin materials.
