EMRs festive fundraising supports local youth club
23 December 2016
EMR employees have raised £2,346 for Onside Warrington Youth Club by holding a Christmas raffle and auction. The Company will match this with a further £2,346, giving a total of £4,692. The donation will fund a 12-week ‘Girls Group’ programme for 15 young people, focussing on their personal and emotional development.
With the youth club located near to EMR’s Head Office in Westbrook, volunteers also went along to help prepare for the charity’s Christmas Lunch and collected food items for the hampers they give away each year.
For the past four years EMR has proudly supported Warrington Youth Club, which is the largest voluntary-sector Youth Club in Warrington. The club is open to young people from a wide range of backgrounds. The youth club offers them choices that they don’t currently have, shows them alternatives and works with several other groups and agencies in Warrington to help improve young people’s lives and their futures.
“We’re pleased that over the years our fundraising has helped the youth club provide vital training and mentor programmes. The club inspires young people to achieve and we’re glad that we can make a difference,” Angela Jones, Head of HR.
